(1)That this House congratulates the organisers, volunteers, artists and community members involved in delivering the 2025 Big Chill festival in Armidale, which ran from 16 to 18 May 2025.

(2)That this House notes that 2025 marks the fifth year of the festival, which has grown into one of regional New South Wales' most exciting cultural events, featuring national headliners such as Peking Duk, San Cisco, Vera Blue, Jebediah and Ruby Fields, alongside outstanding regional acts on the Live and Local stage.

(3)That this House commends the festival for showcasing New England's unique hospitality, culture and local produce, with highlights including BBQ Alley, local craft brewers and distillers, a chilli-eating contest and the family friendly Little Chillers Zone.

(4)That this House recognises the significant social and economic contribution that the Big Chill festival makes to the Armidale region, drawing visitors from across the state and supporting local jobs, tourism and hospitality.

(5)That this House acknowledges the leadership of Armidale Regional Council and the strong community spirit behind the festival's success, with the iconic all-weather big top tent once again bringing people together to enjoy music, food and firepits under the stars.

(6)That this House encourages the continued support of regional festivals like the Big Chill, which help put regional towns on the map and enrich the cultural life of country New South Wales.
