The Hon. AILEEN MacDONALD (12:38): I move:

(1)That this House notes that on 3 November 2025 the Hon. Aileen MacDonald met with Carol Simpson, CEO of KYDS Youth Development Service, a free youth counselling organisation supporting young people aged 10 to 18 in Port Stephens.

(2)That this House acknowledges the exceptional work of KYDS in providing barrier-free, confidential counselling without the need for a Medicare card, GP referral or mental health plan.

(3)That this House recognises that KYDS supports young people through individual counselling, family-based interventions, therapeutic group sessions and wellbeing programs in collaboration with schools and the community.

(4)That this House commends Carol Simpson, the staff, including counsellors and leadership, for their dedication to ensuring young people can access support early and for their contribution to strengthening youth mental health outcomes in our region.
