The Hon. AILEEN MacDONALD (10:05): I move:

(1)That this House notes that on Monday 13 October 2025 the Hon. Aileen MacDonald met with Anna Morris, operations lead for child, youth and family services, Kids First Australia, at their office situated at AB Central, Airds.

(2)That this House acknowledges that Kids First Australia is a national organisation with a strong and growing presence in the Campbelltown local government area, delivering early intervention, education and support services for vulnerable children, young people and families.

(3)That this House commends Kids First Australia for delivering a diverse range of high-impact youth services, including:

(a)the Engine Room, a tailored learning program that provides young people with practical, hands-on education and skills development;

(b)outreach youth work that builds confidence, life skills, and connection for young people who may be disengaged from school or community;

(c)mentoring, case management and vocational support that offer pathways to employment, training, and positive engagement for young people experiencing disadvantage or at risk of justice system involvement; and

(d)drop-in centres and safe spaces, such as the Dungeon Youth Centre, which provides young people with access to support, meals, recreation and guidance in a non-judgmental environment.

(4)That this House recognises the importance of organisations like Kids First Australia in addressing youth disadvantage, supporting early intervention and empowering young people to build brighter futures within their communities.
