(1)That this House notes the resilience and determination of the Port Macquarie-Hastings community in the aftermath of the devastating May 2025 flood event.

(2)That this House congratulates local businesses, including Port Jet Cruise Adventures and Florence Jones wine and cheese store, on reopening within a week of the floods, demonstrating the community's spirit of cooperation and recovery.

(3)That this House acknowledges the strong and clear message from local operators and tourism leaders that Port Macquarie is "open and ready for action" and that now is the time for visitors to return.

(4)That this House welcomes the return of the whale watching season, the launch of the Pour and Explore festival and the region's diverse calendar of activities, from live music and scenic flights to creative workshops and walking tours, that offer something for everyone.

(5)That this House commends the Greater Port Macquarie Tourism Association, including the president Janette Hyde, for its active efforts in encouraging tourism and supporting local businesses.

(6)That this House encourages all members and the people of New South Wales to consider a visit to the Port Macquarie‑Hastings region this winter and to support its ongoing recovery and vibrant local economy.
