The Hon. AILEEN MacDONALD (12:33): I move:

(1)That this House notes that:

(a)on Saturday 16 August 2025, the 2025 Social Enterprise Festival was held in Sydney, hosted by the Social Enterprise Council of NSW and ACT [SECNA];

(b)the festival brought together social entrepreneurs, enterprises and community members in Australia's largest showcase of social enterprise, demonstrating the power of business for good;

(c)the festival featured workshops, activities and opportunities for collaboration, highlighting the sharing of ideas and innovations that strengthen communities; and

(d)the festival showcased the diversity of the sector, including niche social enterprises working in areas such as justice, which provide unique and impactful approaches to supporting people and building a fairer society.

(2)That this House:

(a)commends SECNA for convening the festival; and

(b)recognises the valuable contribution of the social enterprise sector in promoting inclusion, sustainability and innovation.
